It is common to experience health issues after you have experienced emotional abuse.
According to the American Medical Association stress plays a key role in 75% of all illnesses and diseases.
The International Agency for Research on Cancer and the World Health Organization found that 80% of cancers are caused by lifestyle choices, in other words…stress and the way that we react to it.
In 2013 I was diagnosed with Lupus, an Autoimmune Disease. Fortunately, I had an allergic reaction to Hydroxychloroquine, which was the pharmaceutical drug that was prescribed to me for the Lupus. Within minutes of taking the drug, I knew that I was in trouble. I could feel a burning sensation as the drug moved through my blood stream. My heart began to race and I broke out into a cold sweat and started hallucinating. I ended up in the ER the following morning. I believe that my allergic reaction saved my life, because that sent me down a rabbit hole to find alternative methods of healing for my disease. It took three years of educating myself and eating an organic healthy diet to heal my body. In 2016 my blood work showed that I was Lupus free.
What I didn’t know at that time was that the stress from my job and marriage played a key role in triggering my Autoimmune Disease.
